How booking cancellations and refunds work when you discover and enquire about venues through NexusHalls.
NexusHalls is a venue-discovery platform. We help you find, compare and enquire about banquet halls, kalyana mandapams, marriage gardens, hotels and resorts across Tamil Nadu. We are not the operator of these venues. Bookings, advance payments and the cancellation terms that apply to them are arranged directly between you and the individual venue vendor.
The important point first: cancellation and refund terms are set by each venue vendor and can differ from venue to venue. The specifics that apply to your booking are the ones stated by the vendor at the time you confirm and pay. Always confirm the exact terms in writing with the venue before paying any advance.
When you submit an enquiry through NexusHalls, we pass your details to the relevant venue so they can respond with availability, pricing and their own terms. If you go on to book and pay, you enter into an agreement directly with that vendor.
If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, the fastest route is to contact the venue vendor directly using the contact details they shared when your booking was confirmed.
Any advance or booking amount is paid directly to the venue vendor, and refunds are therefore processed by that vendor under their own policy. NexusHalls does not hold your payment and does not issue refunds for venue bookings.
The tiers below are a generic, illustrative example of how some venues structure cancellation charges based on notice given. They are not the policy of NexusHalls or of any specific venue. Your actual terms are whatever the vendor states for your booking.
| Notice before event date | Typical example outcome |
|---|---|
| More than 60 days | Larger share of the advance may be refundable |
| 30 to 60 days | A partial refund or partial deduction may apply |
| 15 to 30 days | A smaller refund, with a larger deduction, is common |
| Less than 15 days | Advance is often non-refundable |
Treat these as a rough guide only. Confirm the real notice periods and deductions with your venue before paying.
Events outside reasonable control — such as natural disasters, severe weather, government orders, public-health restrictions or other unforeseeable circumstances — may make an event impossible to hold as planned. In these situations many vendors offer to reschedule the date rather than refund, but how a force-majeure event is handled is decided by the vendor and the terms you agreed with them. NexusHalls is not liable for losses arising from such events.
We may update this policy from time to time to keep it accurate and clear. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the revision date shown above. This policy explains how NexusHalls facilitates enquiries — it does not override the specific terms agreed between you and a venue vendor.
If you are unsure who to contact or you need help reaching a venue about a cancellation, our team is happy to assist.
